Munchkin Katz - June 2009, 13 years old

There are just no words to describe my pain of losing you. It feels unbearable and I cannot even think about it. I loved you and your brother like you were my children - I remember everything about you, every detail of your personality and your little doggy body. You are a part of my soul, my life and my family that I cannot bare to think has gone forever. I love you, my boy. Mommy Hayley

Dutchess, I miss you everyday. There will never be another you.

Heidi Keetch - June 2009, 8 years, 11 months old

My sweet Heidi came to me in 2002 at the age of 1 1/2 from a private adoption. We very quickly developed a special bond, and she was my soulmate and my special little girl. Poor Heidi was originally a 'pet store puppy' and dealt with the legacy of the health issues from poor breeding her entire life. In 2005, after two bouts with back pain, she underwent surgery which was, thankfully, successful. In November 2008 I thought she had another back problem, but it ended up that she was critically anemic from IMHA (immune mediated hemolitic anemia). Together we fought this terrible disease for seven months and went through two blood tranfusions and many, many vet visits. In June 2009 Heidi developed pancreatitus and after three grueling days of pain and another blood transfusion, she told me it was time to let her go. I miss her with my entire heart and soul, as does my other dachsie, Petey. Heidi, you were my special love and I know we will be together again one day. I will always love you and keep you in my heart, my little girl!

Chloe Lapierre - June 2009, 10 years, 6 months old

Rest in peace, my dear Chloe, who saw me through the pains of cancer and chemo. She was right there through the good and bad times as I was with her at the very end. She had lost the use of her legs for a period and I refused to put her down. With love and therapy she walked and continued to walk and run until her death in 2009. I miss you and love you, Chloe. Your mom, Elaine
