Rosie - January 2007, 4 to 5 years old

Rosie was a beautiful little girl who entered rescue after a questionable history of behaviour problems. She was adopted by two beautiful gentle-spirited women who desperately wanted her to know that she was loved and no longer needed to defend herself or her domain. Instead, her problems intensifed and the only choice left was to release her from the demons that haunted her. How I wish we could have written a different, happier ending to her story - one that told of many years with her special moms but that was not to be. Rosie is at peace now and running free through the meadows of heaven.

Samantha Lou - January 2007, 14 years old

Today I lost my little companion of 14 years. Her name was Samantha, but I liked to call her Boo-boo. She was a rescue pet from a family that was moving out of town and for the past 14 years has filled my life with love.

Max Dorfman Galanti - January 2007, 11 years, 6 months old

Max, You were the best dog anyone could have wished for and you will be missed forever. You lightened our lives, made for many entertaining times throughout your life and it is hard to believe our little Maxie is gone. We will think of you and remember all your funny antics and loyalness to each and every one of us! We love you Max!

Heidi Francis - January 2007, 14 years old

Heidi was truly a blond at heart. She lived in her own world most of the time. She was a little lover though and one of the best little bed warmers I have ever had. She was a very low maintance dog. With her croched tri-colored afgan and her bed she was the happiest. During her life she traveled many many miles, usually on the console of the pick up, in her bed. We did a lot of camping and she would be just as happy in anyone's lap as in mine. Just as long as it was warm and she had her 'blankie'. She will be missed greatly, and her little buddie Pete is very lonely without her.

Katie Dog - January 2007, 11 years, 6 months old

I sent my precious little Katie Dog to Rainbow Bridge today. She was 11.5 years old, and had lived a hard life - rescued from abusive and neglectful owners, in and out of four homes in three years. She was a difficult dog, but I fell in love with her the first time I saw her - 2 1/2 years ago, at the home she was being kept at while she recovered her health. Katie tugged at my heartstrings and got into my heart without any effort at all. And that is where she has stayed, despite behavioural problems that many would not have wanted to deal with. She was precious and sweet, my first dachsie baby, and I will remember her and cherish her always. I love you, Katie Dog. Rest in peace, sweet pea.

Scrappy - 'Big Guy' - January 2007, 7 years old

My Scrappy Baby,

How I miss you. I never thought I would feel such emptiness in my heart, since your passing. I will always remember your constant companionship and love. How I will miss playing ball with you, our walks around the block, and picking out 'Squeak Toys' every time I went to the store, only to bring them home to have you tear them apart within a matter of minutes. I will think of you and miss you every day. I will see you again soon my friend.

I love you,
Your Mommy
